The Naturist Atlantic Coast — The Birthplace

Nouvelle-Aquitaine is the historic heartland of French naturism. Nowhere else will you find such a high concentration of legendary spots—addresses that have shaped the collective imagination of several generations. It’s not just about geography or the sunny climate; this is where the French naturist movement truly took root and continues to thrive today.

La Jenny, located in Le Porge between the Arcachon Bay and the Médoc vineyards, is a welcoming naturist village nestled under the pine trees. Mornings start gently here, filled with the fresh scent of the Landes forest, soft light filtering through the branches, and a wild beach accessible by a short walk through the sand dunes. Further south, Plage de la Lagune, facing Cap Ferret, offers another iconic Atlantic atmosphere with the peninsula as a stunning backdrop.

CHM Montalivet, the very first official naturist center in the world (founded in 1950), features miles of ocean-battered beaches—a timeless, reassuring landscape that offers a profound sense of continuity.Plage des Saumonards on the Island of Oléron (Île d'Oléron) offers a unique experience where the maritime pine forest rolls straight down to the golden sand dunes, with the silhouette of the famous Fort Boyard resting on the horizon. The region also boasts inland naturist campsites that embody a different connection to freedom. Domaine Laborde in Lot-et-Garonne provides a lush, peaceful countryside setting in the heart of Gascony. Camping Lous Suais in Limousin plays with the soft light reflecting off the lakes of Corrèze. Meanwhile, Le Saulet in Corrèze takes the minimalist experience to the next level: just six pitches, a sauna, a Nordic hot tub, and a deeply authentic forest-and-river naturist retreat.Eight locations, eight personalities—one shared belief that the human body belongs in harmony with nature.Every poster in this collection is hand-drawn on a graphic tablet, without AI, and printed in France on $250\text{ gsm}$ FSC-certified paper with solvent-free inks.
