Hauts-de-France – Naturist Locations

There is something uniquely beautiful about practicing naturism in the North of France. The conditions aren't as effortless as the Mediterranean or the sunny Landes coast—the wind is crisp, the skies are beautifully dramatic, and the sea often shifts from a moody gray to brilliant blue. Yet, it is this very authenticity that makes these spots so precious. Naturism in the Hauts-de-France is a lifestyle of true passion, chosen for the pure love of freedom and nature, not just the warm sun.

The Opal Coast (Côte d'Opale) offers a remarkable naturist playground—wild sand dunes stretching for miles, vast sandy shores where the horizon takes center stage, and a soft northern light that shifts by the hour, lending landscapes the timeless quality found in Flemish paintings. Swimming clothes-free in these waters means embracing the refreshing elements as active partners in the experience.

This Northern naturism is less documented and rarely highlighted in standard travel brochures. It richly deserved its own artistic tribute—prints that don't try to make it look southern, but instead celebrate its true nature: wild, windy, and luminous in its own magical way.

These illustrations are born from the same Nus au Soleil ethos: observing a place, understanding its soul, and translating it by hand without artificial filters. These posters are for the locals who hold these beaches dear, and for travelers who have yet to discover the quiet magic of Northern French naturism.
