Nus au soleil featured in FOCUS magazine by INF-FNI: looking back at a year of encounters

Nus au soleil à l'honneur dans le magazine FOCUS de l'INF-FNI : retour sur une année de rencontres

As an official partner of the International Naturist Federation (INF-FNI), I was immensely proud to see my work spotlighted in the July issue of the FOCUS magazine. Through an in-depth feature, the magazine explores how my posters of naturist locations transitioned from screens onto the walls of our favorite holiday spots. It's the perfect opportunity to look back at this wonderful journey and the encounters that have shaped my season.

A collection born from a realization on naturist beaches

It all started on a naturist beach in Guadeloupe. Returning there year after year, I made the same observation as many of you: we spend our finest summers in these resort destinations, yet it is nearly impossible to find quality artwork to bring home.

From this frustration, the Nus au soleil collection was born. Today, it features around thirty destinations — from the legendary CHM Montalivet to Île du Levant, alongside international spots like Praia do Abricó in Rio de Janeiro and Mar Bella in Barcelona — all hand-drawn on a tablet without artificial intelligence, and made in France.

This artistic approach is part of a long tradition, as I discuss in my article on the lesser-known history of the aesthetic marriage between art and naturism.

From digital to paper: meeting the naturist community

As FOCUS magazine highlights, this year marked a turning point: my illustrations stepped out of the digital world to meet you directly through several key events:

  • At the heart of naturist sports (April 2026): My very first physical pop-ups took me to Sand Fabrik in Pantin for the FFN international naturist beach-volley tournament, followed by the pool decks of Piscine Roger Le Gall for the Paris Naturists Association (ANP) championships. Gifting posters to the winners and chatting directly with you confirmed one simple truth: behind every poster lies precious family and intergenerational memories.
  • Conviviality and traditions (June 2026): Next stop was the Limoges Sun Club in Bos Redon for the traditional Saint-Jean festival. A warm, friendly gathering that highlights the importance of anchoring these memories in our vacation spots, just like at the La Chiappa campsite.
  • Cultural roots in Montalivet (July 2026): I had the immense privilege of taking part in the inaugural exhibition of the brand-new Marc-Alain Descamps Cultural Space (Espace MAD) at CHM Montalivet. It was a unique opportunity to discuss my drawing techniques and the importance of local manufacturing right at the cradle of modern naturism.

Why naturist culture deserves to be illustrated

Through these exhibitions, events, and the spotlight in FOCUS magazine, one conviction stands strong: naturism is not just a summer lifestyle; it is a rich, vibrant culture that deserves to be told, elevated, and visually passed on.
