Finding the world under your skin: the benefits of outdoor naturism

Retrouver le monde à fleur de peau : les bienfaits du naturisme en plein air

Naturism is not just about being naked. It is a way of living that is freer, more sensory, and closer to nature.
Through this article, I share a few moments that sum up what this practice brings to my daily life—and what I try to capture in my Nus au Soleil posters.

Experiencing nature across your skin

Being naked outdoors in a natural setting has something deeply soothing about it. Far from noise and clothes, the body finds itself.
On an Atlantic beach, I love the free-flowing wind, feeling the sand beneath my feet, and the sunlight on my skin. Everything becomes simpler, more obvious.

The calm of naturist villages

At La Jenny, mornings begin gently. I go outside naked with my coffee, still half-asleep. The air is crisp, the pines crackle, the birds sing. I sit down. I do nothing. And that is already plenty. These moments of simplicity are becoming rare.

Walking by the waves

At Le Porge or Bocal du Tech, walking naked with your feet in the water has become a necessity. The sea soothes; its rhythm grounds.
It is an instinctive meditation made possible by letting the body breathe freely.

Diving into Mediterranean coves

In the coves of Cerbère, Banyuls, or the Esterel, swimming naked is second nature.
You dive, you float, you glide between the rocks. The saltwater reshapes the body. You forget the gaze of others; you even forget your own. All that remains is a feeling of joyful freedom.

What my posters aim to convey

With Nus au Soleil, I try to keep a trace of these sensations:

  • the gentleness of a naturist morning
  • the light of a preserved shoreline
  • the peace of a place where the body is free

These illustrations are not just souvenirs. They are an invitation to slow down, breathe, and imagine a lighter, more natural way of life.
