A place steeped in history
Located in Gironde, in the heart of Médoc, the Centre Hélio-Marin de Montalivet, better known as CHM Monta, holds a unique place in the history of naturism. Founded in 1950 by Albert and Christiane Lecocq, it is recognized as the first family naturist holiday center in Europe. That same year, the French Naturist Federation (FFN) was born, making the CHM a historical reference from its very beginnings.
From its opening, the CHM attracted families, travelers, and freedom enthusiasts. The site was designed as a real village: not just a beach, but also accommodation, shops, and activities among the pine trees. Today, this pioneering and welcoming atmosphere endures.
A vast and preserved estate
The CHM extends over approximately 200 hectares of wild pine forest with direct access to a naturist beach 2 kilometers long. It offers more than 3,000 pitches (tents, caravans, campervans, mobile homes, bungalows), as well as numerous shops, restaurants, and services. It is a true self-sufficient village, where everyone can live at their own pace in complete serenity.
